**Get to know the person behind the camera**
Dena is the owner/photographer of New Leaf Portraits, previously known as New Leaf Photography. She is a licensed business in Stavely - Alberta, who specializes in Newborn | Maternity | Milestone portraiture.

Wife to her husband Scott, who is the crafter behind many of the wooden props you'll see in the studio. Also a Mom to four little children, three boys & a girl. Her vision for New Leaf began in October 2018, after taking her own family photos. Photography quickly became her passion. New Leaf was later established in January 2019, after taking her first hands on Newborn photography course.

Photography gave her a creative license into capturing portraits for families to cherish for a lifetime. Parents have the option to purchase professional Albums, Prints, Canvas prints and more in addition to their preferred package. Making New Leaf a one stop professional portrait and printing studio.

Dena has spent countless hours learning all about newborn & maternity portraiture, reading books, taking hands on courses- along with several online courses. Her studies included fine art editing/retouching, studio lighting, wrapping techniques, posing, and most importantly safely posing your newborn baby. She continues her education with an online photography academy and yearly online retreats to ensure she is always providing her clients with the best up-to-date professional quality and service.
